All players are divided into four categories
Domestic, Overseas and New Young players will be divided into four categories. This time there will be categories A, B, C and D in the PKL auction. After this, players in each category will be divided into raider, defender and all-rounder categories. If we talk about the base price of all the categories, then the base price of category A will be 30 lakhs, category B 20 lakhs, category C 10 lakhs and category D will be Rs 6 lakhs. All the franchises have got a purse of 4.4 crores for this time.
More than 500 players will be part of the auction
This time there will be more than 500 players in the pool player of PKL Season 9. 24 players from the top-2 teams of the 2021 Khelo India University Games in Bangalore will also be part of the auction this time. All teams can also retain players according to their choice. She can retain six players under the Elite Retained Players category and 4 under the New Young Players category. Players who are not retained will be part of the auction.
