Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2018

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE) is a state level entrance exam organizeed for admission into different Under Graduate professional courses (like engineering, agriculture, forestry, homoeopathy, etc.).
  • The three groups are PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) group, PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) group, and PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology) group.
  • Admit cards for aspirants would be made available in the month of May 2018 on the official website.
  • PCMB group is organizeed for aspirants who seeking to apply for both engineering and medical courses via JCECE 2018.
  • The exam is organizeed each year by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) to fill in the seats of different professional Under Graduate courses provideed by colleges in the state of Jharkhand.
  • The exam is generally organizeed in the month of May-June. JCECE 2018 is also slated to be held in the month of June 2018.
  • PCM group is organizeed for engineering candidates, whereas, PCB group of exams is for agriculture, forestry, and medical course candidates.
  • Counseling-cum-admission procedure for that particular year would be organizeed based on the merit list prepared for each group.
  • The application form for JCECE 2018 would be made available in the month of April 2018 on the official website of JCECEB.
  • After the written exams of all the groups are over, a merit list of all the qualifying aspirants based on their performance in the JCECE exam would be prepared.
  • The exam is divided into three groups based on the course in which admissions are made.

Eligibility for JCECE 2018 

The eligibility for JCECE 2018 exam varies for various courses. The details regarding eligibility criteria are mentioned below for reference.

Common criteria for all courses

  • The aspirant must be a citizen of India.
  • He/She must be a domicile of the state of Jharkhand.

For Engineering Courses

  • The aspirant must have studied and passed Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subject along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject as third one.
  • An aspirant must have passed senior secondary or equivalent exam from a recognised board with minimum 45% (40% for reserved category aspirants) in aggregate.

For Agriculture and Forestry courses

  • An aspirant must have passed an intermediate or equivalent exam from any recognised board.
  • An aspirant must have studied Physics and Chemistry as the mandatory subject with Mathematics/Biology as third one with minimum 45% (40% for reserved category aspirants).

For Animal Husbandry course

  • The aspirant must have passed the examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (mandatory one).
  • An aspirant must have passed an intermediate or equivalent exam from any recognised board.

Application Form for JCECE 2018 

Application form for JCECE 2018 would be made available in online method only. Aspirants would have to visit the official website in order to apply for the exam.

Registration Procedure

  • A new registration ID and password would be sent to the registered E-mail address.
  • Go to the official website of JCECEB.
  • Fill the registration details asked like the name, e-mail ID, mobile number, etc.
  • Click on JCECE 2018 application form.
  • Click on submit.

Application Procedure

  • Select the preference, of course, exam centre, etc.
  • Login to the portal using the credentials received via E-mail.
  • Fill in the details as per the directions are given on the webpage.
  • Click on submit.
  • Upload your signature and Photograph (as per dimensions offered in the notification) in a .jpeg pattern.

  • Physics and Chemistry would be clubbed together in one single paper (for all groups) whereas Mathematics/Biology would include a separate paper.

JCECE 2018 Counseling

As soon as the JCECE results are declared and the merit list is published, JCECEB would begin the counseling cum admission procedure for different courses. Those aspirants who will complete the exam would be allowed counseling letter.

The counselling would be organizeed by the exam organizing authority and the details for it would be published on the official website. There would be a personal cut off for each branch of Under Graduate course as well as for each college providing that course.

The counseling would be done on the basis of merit list prepared after the releasement of results. The final judgement in regards to any allot concerned to the counselling procedure would rest with the organizing authority and will be deemed final.
